Colorado Residents Only – Compensation: Monthly Salary $6486.2 – $9971.46

Under minimal supervision, this position plans and executes digital product strategy, technology/product development, technology and/or product support and/or customer engagement strategies in support of the company’s product and service portfolio. Conduct market and competitive analysis, product analysis, digital industry and customer research to create and optimize the customer experience. Partner with cross-functional teams to define, implement and launch market-leading, customer-centric products or programs. Provide subject matter expertise to support strategic priorities. Maintains expertise on products and technologies through training and research and uses that training to drive and/or implement best practices and foster continuous improvement.

Position Summary

As part of the Global Portfolio Marketing organization, Global Digital provides the technology solutions that facilitate transportation activities for our customers around the world. From to robust desktop and integrated automation solutions, FedEx Global Digital strives for a superior customer experience through the delivery of its technology solutions. The successful candidate will be the Program Manager on the Mobile Solutions team, supporting epic and feature prioritization across the Mobile portfolio. This person will work closely with our customers, FedEx operating companies, regional peers, IT, Marketing, Sales and Support teams to build and launch experiences that are market leading and meet business objectives.

The Mobile portfolio spans Becoming a Customer, Rate Quote & Shipping, as well as Receiving and FDM. This person will be responsible for synthesizing all work requests into one prioritized backlog.

Under limited supervision, the successful candidate will plan and execute product strategy development, product support, pricing and/or promotional initiatives and assist in portfolio management strategic planning.

Position Information

The successful candidate must utilize product / project management and collaboration skills to gain the support needed to execute the Mobile strategic objectives. The successful candidate must have excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills and be able to interact with stake holders at every level within the organization, including officers and senior officers, across several functional areas and operating companies. This position requires a highly motivated individual with a proven track record of leadership and collaboration who can simultaneously manage change while delivering value to customers. Must work individually and with cross functional teams to identify and document opportunities to enhance, rationalize and accelerate the launch of key capabilities.

The Successful Candidate Must Have Demonstrated Success In

Program / Product Management: Leading product management to execute the portfolio direction. Meet customer needs, and collaborate across organizations to get executive and program level buy-in needed to prioritize, coordinate and deliver mobile capabilities. Manage and prioritize work to provide strategic leadership on the ART roadmap. Communicate to executive management plans of action that clearly align resources and timelines to hit target objectives. Provide direction around measurement and reporting processes needed to report performance against goals.

Strategic Thinking / Innovation: Actively conceptualize, analyze, synthesize, and evaluate product, customer and market information to develop and champion unbiased recommendations to key business stakeholders across the Corporation.

Critical Thinking / Problem Solving: Identify, assess and quickly develop action plans to resolve critical product deficiencies and customer experience gaps to meet and exceed customer needs. Define the path to correct the noted issues and lead the solution from concept to launch.

Technical Aptitude: Possess the ability to understand technical capabilities and comfortably dialogue with technical experts to determine how to best meet customer needs.

Business Savvy: Identify opportunities and navigate challenges to maintain project progress and accomplish product goals while working through others. Build and obtain executive level buy-in on business cases for strategic investments.

Leadership: Provide guidance and direction to individual contributors. Mentor team members to strengthen the team and enhance their career skills.

Collaboration: Work across operating companies, marketing and IT globally in order to promote and get support to implement strategies.

In This Role, The Successful Candidate Will

  • Partner with team members and other key groups to gather industry, competitive, user experience research needed to build an actionable product strategy and roadmap.
  • Prioritize the product roadmap based on business value and customer impact.
  • Assist in building the fact-based business justification needed to justify product investments and gain cross-functional support for the product roadmap
  • Partner with key internal and external stakeholders to understand customer needs in order to prioritize mobile product features needed to improve the customer experience.
  • Lead requirement modeling sessions with various stakeholders to understand their needs and translate those into executable epics and features.
  • Manage requirement dependencies with other teams while negotiating and reprioritizing as appropriate.
  • Support senior staff in the preparation of key deliverables and presentations.
  • Develop and communicate to management plans of action that clearly align resources and timelines to hit target objectives.
  • Measure and analyze product performance and use insights to improve product usage and awareness while decreasing customer call volume.
  • Provide subject matter expertise needed to support corporate projects and product enhancements for the Mobile portfolio (Shipping, Rates & Transit Time quotes, Pickup, Returns, Receiving and FDM).

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Marketing, Finance, Computer Science, Engineering or related business discipline. Five (5) years experience in a digital marketing or digital product management environment or demonstrated knowledge gained through coursework or work experience in digital product marketing, management, or technology support. Strong ability to understand business and customer needs, customer/user experience management, product analysis and technology capabilities. Technical acumen. Strong collaboration, communications and analytical skills. A directly related Master’s Degree is equivalent to two (2) years experience. More advanced degrees may offset experience requirements.
